Refunds and Cancellation

At Amethist Media, we strive to deliver creative excellence. Since our services involve artistic time, digital assets, and custom physical products, our policy is structured as follows:
1. Photography & Cinematography Services
Retainer/Booking Fee: The 50% booking fee paid to reserve a specific date is non-refundable.[1][2][3] This fee compensates the studio for the loss of business from other potential clients on that reserved date.
Cancellations:
If you cancel the shoot more than 15 days before the event, the retainer is forfeited, but no further balance is due.
If you cancel within 7 days of the event, the client is liable to pay 100% of the total contract value, as the studio cannot rebook the team/gear on such short notice.
Service Dissatisfaction: Photography is a subjective art. Refunds are not provided based on creative style or personal preference. However, if there is a technical deficiency (e.g., significant data loss or failure to attend), a partial or full refund of the affected service portion will be considered after an internal review.
2. Physical Products (Wedding Albums & Prints)[1]
Custom Nature: Wedding albums and framed prints are highly personalized items. Once the design is approved by the client and sent to the printing press, no refunds or returns are accepted.
Manufacturing Defects: If a physical product arrives with a manufacturing defect (e.g., misaligned binding, faded printing, or damage during transit), we will provide a free replacement.[4]
Claim Requirement: To claim a replacement for damage, you must provide an unboxing video and photos within 24 hours of delivery.[4][5] Notify us at info@amethistmedia.com.
3. Digital Products (Downloadable Content)
Immediate Access: Once high-resolution digital galleries or raw footage (if applicable) have been shared via a download link, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
4. Amethist Academy (Workshops & Courses)[6]
Course Fee: Fees for photography workshops or masterclasses are non-refundable.[6][7][8]
Batch Transfer: If you are unable to attend due to a medical emergency, you may request a one-time batch transfer to a future date, provided notice is given 7 days prior to the course start date.
Academy Cancellation: If the Studio cancels a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, a 100% refund will be processed within 10 working days.[9]
5. Studio Rental (NSP Location)
Cancellations for studio hire must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a partial credit toward a future booking.[2][6] Same-day cancellations or no-shows for studio rental are non-refundable.
6. Refund Processing Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method or Bank Transfer (NEFT/UPI).
Please allow 7 to 10 working days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your bank’s processing cycle.
